Brenda Nance
Vice President of Quality
Saint Francis Health System

Dr. Brenda Nance is the Vice President of Quality for Saint Francis Health System. She leads the strategy for patient safety, quality, patient experience, infection prevention, accreditation, health equity and physician peer review. She earned her BSN from Langston University, a Master of Nursing from The University of Oklahoma, and her Doctorate in Nursing Administration from Samford University. Brenda is nationally recognized as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.  
   
In May, she celebrated 22 years as a nurse. She has worked in various clinical settings including cardiac step-down, medical surgical and peri-operative units.  Prior to her current position, she was the Program Director and Assistant Professor for the Accelerated BSN Program at The University of Oklahoma College of Nursing in Tulsa, Oklahoma.   

During her tenure as the Vice President of Quality Saint Francis has been recognized by US News & World Report as top in the state for eight consecutive years and most recently as a 15 Top Health System. In addition, Saint Francis South has been named as a 100 Top Hospital. Dr. Nance has been honored by receiving the Excellence in Teaching Award from the Oklahoma League for Nursing, Excellence in Nursing Education Award from the Oklahoma Nurses Association, and was a March of Dimes Nurse of Year Finalist.

Brenda and her husband have two sons and they reside in Kellyville, Oklahoma.

Mike Regain, MD
Chief Medical Officer
UMC Health System

Dr. Mike Ragain is a Professor in the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center Department of Family and Community Medicine and has served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for UMC Health System since April 2011.  

He has had extensive experience serving the medical needs of the Lubbock Community. After serving his residency in Family Medicine at TTUHSC where he was named Chief Resident and Resident of the Year, he participated in several fellowships and clinic appointments before coming to Texas Tech in 1995. The list of his volunteer activities, committee service and professional memberships is exhaustive. He has served in leadership roles including Residency Program Director and Chairman in Family Medicine. 

Dr. Ragain received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Austin College, a Master’s of Education degree from the University of Southern California, and a Doctorate of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. In addition, he holds certifications from the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

Apurv Gupta, MD
Vice President, Advisory Services

Dr. Gupta is an expert in driving transformational change for leading healthcare systems. He is a thought leader in physician engagement, change management, quality transformation and leadership development. He coaches and mentors healthcare leaders to help them lead transformation efforts for their organizations. An internal medicine physician by training, he has held positions as Medical Director, Chief Medical Officer, Vice President of Network Performance Improvement, and Director of Care Transformation. 

Deeply committed to values of compassion, trust and growth mindset, he is an innovator and champion for staff empowerment. One prominent example is his pioneering work in developing A Loving Organization model to help address clinician burnout and improve patient experience by improving love and compassion within the organization.

Dr. Gupta completed his Internal Medicine training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA, and received an M.D. and Sc.B. from Brown University, as well as an M.P.H. from Harvard University.
