Mary Jo Cagel, MD, Cone Health
Chief Operating Officer
Mary Jo Cagle, MD, chief clinical officer, will become chief operating officer, a newly expanded and reconfigured role that will further unite all continuum-of-care and population health efforts – including ambulatory, acute and post-acute services – under her leadership.
Kenneth Rempher, PhD, RN, chief nurse executive, will become executive vice president of acute care services, and chief nurse executive, reporting to Dr. Cagle. The presidents of Cone Health hospitals will report to him.
Mandy Eaton, vice president of human resources, will become chief human resources officer.
“These new roles will become effective at various times over the next several months as we work to ensure a smooth transition,” Akin says.
