A communications tool or practice:

Associates participate in FormationSM each morning in the Asia-Pacific and Lincoln corporate offices. This 15-minute daily gatherings are led by a different associate each day. Guests are introduced and have an opportunity to speak, a topic in the Talent Plus Way is led by an associate (a compendium of our values and business practices) and associates are invited to discuss/provide examples, Plays of the Day are offered by associates (efforts of individual associates who have gone above and beyond); birthdays and anniversaries are celebrated. For associates not able to participate, a recap is posted on Chatter (the salesforce instant-messaging system). This is important for associates who are in our extended community or traveling on business.

One way the company relieves stress:

The company's annual meeting coincides with its annual Freedom Fest – one of the largest private displays of fireworks in the Midwest .That night, Talent Plus plays host for an evening celebration that entertains guests, that include associates, families and friends (including clients and vendor partners as well as community representatives). The event has played host to thousands. During the economic downturn, associates asked to forgo this celebration with a smaller event – a "Talent Show," and picnic and with donations to CAUSE instead of hosting a party for so many. CAUSE is an organization that provides entertainment libraries to medical facilities for those recovering from injuries suffered in Iraq and Afghanistan. This past year was the third year where we returned to our traditional celebration; however, associates continue to ask that we keep this a smaller gathering where it is just associates and their immediate family and we have honored that request. Two of the company's associates are professional singers, who kick off the celebration with a medley of the themes of the armed services followed by a spectacular rendition of The Star Spangled Banner.
