Healthcare came out a big winner last week, taking the top prize in eight of 12 categories for awards celebrating clear communication.
The Center for Plain Language hands out its ClearMark Awards annually for brochures, websites, infographics, posters and other types of communication.
A project for HHS, by CommunicateHealth, took one of the big prizes: the Grand ClearMark in English. The “Move Your Way” fact sheets also took home a prize for best posters, charts or flyers. The Grand ClearMark honors the best of the winners in the various categories.
The Grand ClearMark in Spanish went to the Virginia Medicaid Managed Care website, Medallion 4.0, designed by the Maximus Center for Health Literacy.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Epidemic Intelligence Service website, designed by Westat, captured the best before-and-after digital award.
Among the other prizes, one went to the Together by St. Jude website for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (best website); and another to the subsidy program application for Michigan Medigap designed by Maximus (best forms, applications and statements).
