As COVID-19 continues its dangerous march around the world, many are taking time to publicly thank those dedicated to helping patients.
In Spain, it’s nightly applause for healthcare workers, a ritual that’s spread to other countries, including Belgium, Canada, France, Greece, India and Italy. On Twitter, cellist Yo-Yo Ma dedicated a Bach piece to “healthcare workers on the front lines.” And in Chicago, it was as simple as a sidewalk chalk message outside Amita Health St. Joseph Hospital.
