U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams in late August gave a stern warning about marijuana use: “While the perceived harm of marijuana is decreasing, the scary truth is that the actual potential for harm is increasing.” Adams issued an advisory on the dangers of pot smoking, especially for adolescents and pregnant women. Currently, 33 states and the District of Columbia have some form of legalized marijuana use.
