The Ensign Group acquired the real estate and operations of five skilled nursing facilities across four states, the company announced Monday.
The San Juan Capistrano, California-based company expanded its footprint in Washington and entered Alaska and Oregon with three acquisitions: South Hill Rehabilitation and Care Center in Spokane, Washington, Mt. Angel Health and Rehabilitation in Mt. Angel, Oregon, and Polaris Extended Care and Polaris Transitional Care in Anchorage, Alaska, according to a news release.

The Ensign Group acquired the real estate of those facilities on Mar. 1 through Standard Bearer Healthcare REIT, its real estate subsidiary.
The company said in a separate release it also acquired the real estate and operations of two Mesa, Arizona, skilled nursing facilities on Mar 1: Citrus Heights Respiratory and Rehabilitation and Springdale Village Post Acute.
The Ensign Group did not disclose the sellers of the facilities or the financial terms of the deals.
The acquisitions mark the third round of deals for the company this year. In January, the Ensign Group acquired the the real estate and operations of nine nursing homes in Alabama and Tennessee. Last month, it purchased the real estate of four Texas skilled nursing facilities, in addition to the real estate and operations of a fifth Texas nursing home.
The combined acquisitions grow the Ensign Group’s portfolio to 340 healthcare operations across 17 states.
