SSM Health and healthcare technology company Inbound Health expanded an at-home healthcare partnership at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin to include hospital-level care at home.
St. Louis, Missouri-based SSM Health and Inbound Health launched a hospital-at-home program last week for certain patients to receive acute-level care where they live. The new program can treat up to five patients at a time with illnesses such as cellulitis or certain respiratory, circulatory or heart conditions, an SSM Health spokesperson said.

The hospital-at-home program builds on a skilled nursing-at-home initiative the hospital system and Minneapolis-based Inbound started in the spring at St. Mary’s Hospital.
SSM Health joins 373 other health systems nationwide with waivers from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to offer hospital-level care at home. The waiver expires at the end of December unless Congress extends it or makes it permanent.
SSM Health is a Catholic not-for-profit health system that operates hospitals, physician practices and other healthcare services in Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma and Wisconsin.
Inbound Health provides technology, as well as operational and clinical services to health systems offering care to patients at home.
