The book shares details of how the clinical and administrative teams at the New York-based private system prepared years in advance and stepped up during the height of the pandemic. They treated nearly 100,000 COVID-19 patients. Being the CEO of a health system in the city’s epicenter of the pandemic has led to some lessons that are non-negotiable take-home messages for other health systems across the country.
