The clinics in Georgia, Missouri and Florida, which will operate under the CenterWell Senior Primary Care and Conviva Care brand names, are expected to open in the first half of next year, Humana said Wednesday.

Walmart Health closed all of its clinics last month, citing high operating costs and challenges with reimbursement.
Other retailers are navigating similar challenges. In March, Walgreens said it planned to close half of its VillageMD clinics as part of a $1 billion cost-cutting initiative begun last year. Amazon's One Medical laid off hundreds of employees in an attempt to downsize operations and cut costs by closing offices in several cities. Amazon moved its telehealth business to be under the umbrella of One Medical last month.
In January, Louisville, Kentucky-based Humana said CenterWell planned to move into three new markets and add locations in five existing markets. CenterWell previously expanded its scope of services in August 2023 by adding an in-home care platform for seniors.
CenterWell and Conviva currently provide senior care services at nearly 300 locations in 15 states.
