Senior living services company Ensign Group acquired seven skilled nursing facilities in six states, as well as a long-term acute care hospital.
The deals closed Wednesday, the same day Ensign Group will report first quarter 2024 earnings. The acquisitions include:
- River Park Post Acute, 66 beds in Chandler, Arizona
- Spencer Post Acute Rehabilitation Center, 82 beds in Spencer, Iowa
- Hillside Village of De Soto Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 49 beds in De Soto, Kansas
- Creekview Health and Rehabilitation, 78 beds in Knoxville, Tennessee
- Foothills Transitional Care and Rehabilitation, 135 beds in Maryville, Tennessee
- Midlothian Healthcare Center, 120 beds in Midlothian, Texas
- South Davis Specialty Care, 95 beds in Bountiful, Utah
- Western Peaks Specialty Hospital, 43 beds in Bountiful, Utah

San Juan Capistrano, California-based Ensign Group did not disclose the price of the deals, which bring its portfolio of skilled nursing facilities to 310 operations across 14 states. In March, the company acquired Hearthstone Health and Rehabilitation, a 125-bed skilled nursing facility in Sparks, Nevada. It bought TriState Health and Rehabilitation Center, a 116-bed skilled nursing home in Harrogate, Tennessee in January.
CEO Barry Port said the company is actively seeking to buy other skilled nursing facilities, senior living facilities and healthcare businesses.
