The American Hospital Association and Health-ISAC issued a warning Thursday for hospitals to be on alert for potential terrorism attacks in multiple cities in the coming weeks.
The organizations, which were made aware of potential threats from a post on social media platform 'X,' said the threats could not be corroborated or dismissed and the groups were in contact with the FBI. They said the bulletin was issued to make the industry aware of the social media post, which could encourage other bad actors.

The AHA and Health-ISAC did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
"Generally, foreign terrorist groups do not publicize their upcoming attacks," the organizations said in the bulletin. "However, this widely viewed post may encourage others to engage in malicious activity directed toward the health sector, so threats of this nature should be taken seriously. Security teams should review emergency management plans and spread awareness of the potential threat internally."
The group recommended healthcare organizations review their security, cybersecurity and emergency management plans, connect with local and federal law enforcement authorities and be vigilant about notifying local law enforcement of any suspicious activity, people or vehicles on their properties. The bulletin also recommended facilities have a visible security presence.
The two groups said they will provide updated information as it becomes available.
