Amedisys, a home health, hospice and personal care company, on Wednesday said it had signed a definitive agreement to buy Evolution Health from Envision Healthcare, the company said.
The deal should close within the first six months of this year and will give Amedisys access to the more than 3,300 home health patients Dallas-based Evolution Health serves daily, the company said in a news release. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition furthers the company's strategy to add regional home health companies to its portfolio, said Amedisys Chairman and outgoing CEO Paul Kusserow.
