    This webinar focuses on the current state of health inequities and how the healthcare industry plays a critical role in closing this gap through collaboration with community and other stakeholders within healthcare.

    Steve Rusckowski
    Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President
    Quest Diagnostics

    Steve Rusckowski is Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Quest Diagnostics. Since joining Quest Diagnostics as President and Chief Executive Officer in May 2012, Mr. Rusckowski has focused on transforming the company, based on its compelling vision of “empowering better health with diagnostic insights.” Under his leadership, the company has refocused on its core diagnostic information services business, sold non-core assets, delivered disciplined deployment, including share repurchases and acquisitions, and simplified its organizational structure to better serve customers by removing complexity, speeding decision making and empowering employees. He was elected Chairman of the Board in December 2016.

    Prior to joining Quest Diagnostics, Mr. Rusckowski was CEO of Philips Healthcare, which became the largest unit of Royal Philips Electronics under his leadership. He joined Philips in 2001 when it acquired the Healthcare Solutions Group he was leading at Hewlett-Packard/Agilent Technologies.

    Mr. Rusckowski is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Clinical Laboratory Association and served as its Chairman from 2014 to 2017. He is also an Emeritus Director of Project Hope, a global health education and humanitarian assistance organization.

    Mr. Rusckowski earned a Master of Science degree in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

    Chief Executive Officer
    American Heart Association 

    Nancy Brown is Chief Executive Officer of the American Heart Association (AHA), a 97-year-old organization guided by an unwavering mission: To be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives.     Gary A. Puckrein, PhD
    President and Chief Executive Officer
    National Minority Quality Forum 

    Dr. Gary Puckrein is President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Minority Quality Forum (formerly the National Minority Health Month Foundation), a not-for-profit organization that he founded in 1998. The Forum addresses the critical need for strengthening national and local efforts to use evidence-based, data-driven initiatives to guide programs to eliminate the disproportionate burden of premature death and preventable illness for racial and ethnic minorities and other special populations. The goal of the Forum is to strengthen the capacity of local communities to eliminate the disproportionate burden of premature death and preventable illness in minority populations through prevention, early detection, and control of disease complications .Dr. Puckrein also serves as the Executive Director of the Alliance of Minority Medical Associations (a collaborative effort of the Asian and Pacific Physicians' Association, the Association of American Indian Physicians, the Interamerican College of Physicians and Surgeons, and the National Medical Association), which was formed on the basis of evidence-based data that highlight significant disparities in health-care treatment plans and outcomes among many underserved populations within the United States.

    Kerry Hydash, MPA
    President and Chief Executive Officer
    Family HealthCare Network

    Kerry Hydash currently serves as the President and CEO at Family HealthCare Network FHCN is a federally qualified health center that operates out of 41 sites within three counties of California’s Central Valley — Tulare, Kings, and Fresno. FHCN served 223,207 patients and provided 1,022,383 visits in 2020. Prior to working directly in the healthcare field, Kerry worked in public accounting, auditing and providing financial support to healthcare entities. Kerry has also been a certified senior professional in human resources and has extensive HR experience in the healthcare industry. Kerry currently serves on a variety local, state, and federal boards, including Advocates for Community Health, California Partnership for Health, California Primary Care Association, and the Clinical Mutual Insurance Company.

    Alfred A. Edmond Jr. is SVP/Executive Editor-at-Large of Black Enterprise. He serves as writer, co-producer and host of Black Enterprise weekly interview series, including Beyond The Hype and Your Money, Your Life. An award-winning multi-media journalist and widely recognized expert on business and economic trends, entrepreneurship, personal finance, leadership development and healthy relationships, Edmond is an accomplished public speaker, moderator and live-event interviewer. A proud graduate of Rutgers University, Edmond is a life member of the Rutgers Alumni Association, a life and founding member of the Rutgers African American Alumni Alliance (RAAA), a 2010 inductee into the Rutgers Hall of Distinguished Alumni and a 2005 inductee into the RAAA Hall of Fame.
