President Donald Trump plans to nominate Susan Monarez to lead the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, according to a White House official.
Monarez is currently acting director at the CDC. Before that, she was deputy director of ARPA-H, a federal agency created during the Biden administration that set out to fund innovative biomedical research. CBS News first reported the pick.
