Caitlin Donovan, the global head of Uber Health, is leaving the ride-sharing company for venture capital firm General Catalyst, she said Friday on LinkedIn.
Donovan has been the global head of Uber Health since April 2021 after arriving from MyOrthos, an orthodontist tech platform company. Uber Health on Friday said the company's head of growth Zachary Clark will be taking over her role.

A spokesperson for General Catalyst confirmed Donovan will be starting at the firm June 24. Uber Health has not responded to a request for comment.
The ride-sharing company launched Uber Health in February 2018 with a service that enables healthcare providers to schedule rides for patients who need transportation to non-emergency medical visits. Since then, Uber has struck partnerships with healthcare organizations and software companies, including one with CVS Health.
In January, Uber Health said it was integrating platforms with analytics company Socially Determined. Uber Health launched a platform in March to help caregivers facilitate transportation. Donovan, who was named to Modern Healthcare’s 40 under 40 in February, said that Uber Health’s bookings nearly doubled in 2023 and its customer base grew to more than 3,000 organizations.
Donovan follows a similar path taken by Dr. Nworah Ayogu, who departed Amazon Clinic for venture capital firm Thrive Capital earlier this month.
