OSF HealthCare President Sister Diane Marie McGrew died Sunday.
McGrew was 57, a spokesperson for the organization said. She had faced ovarian and uterine cancer over the past five years, according to a Monday news release.

An interim president has not yet been appointed.
"We will be going through a period of discernment over the coming weeks to determine the most appropriate path forward," the OSF HealthCare spokesperson said.
McGrew had served as president of Peoria, Illinois-based OSF HealthCare since 2006. She joined the Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis, the health system's founding organization, in 1988.
"Her leadership has guided us through numerous challenges and successes," said OSF HealthCare CEO Bob Sehring in the news release. "At the forefront of everything she did was the Sisters’ Mission to serve persons with the greatest care and love in a community that celebrates the gift of life."
OSF HealthCare comprises more than 150 patient care locations, including 16 hospitals, in Illinois and Michigan. In January, the system announced it would reopen a shuttered hospital in Peru, Illinois, previously operated by Fargo, North Dakota-based Sisters of Mary of the Presentation Health System.
