Jeff Micklos has been selected as the next president and CEO of the National Association of Accountable Care Organizations, effective this fall.
Micklos is the executive director of the Health Care Transformation Task Force. He is slated to replace NAACOS President and CEO Clif Gaus, who announced in April his forthcoming retirement.

NAACOS, which Gaus co-founded in 2012, works to support and advocate for accountable care organizations.
Micklos previously served as an executive vice president for the Federation of American Hospitals. He was selected for the new position in part based on his experience with value-based care, a large area of focus for NAACOS, the organization said in a news release Thursday.
