Healthcare organization boards play major roles in shaping companies—spearheading expansion projects, negotiating partnerships and mergers and determining executive compensation. In these trying economic and operational times, competent governance can make the difference between floundering and flourishing.
With that impact in mind, Modern Healthcare has selected 12 directors for our Excellence in Governance awards who display flexibility, tenacity and influence as board members.
These leaders draw on deep expertise from within and outside of healthcare to craft their organizations’ vision and mission. Some have served on their respective boards for decades, chairing numerous committees as they steer providers’ long-term growth. Others are relative newcomers, but have already participated in revamping strategic plans or setting diversity, inclusion and equity goals.
