DuPage Medical Group names new CEO
Steve Nelson, who started yesterday at DMG, has more than 30 years of experience in health care, DuPage Medical Group said in a statement. He formerly was CEO of the UnitedHealthcare division of UnitedHealth Group.
Nelson, 62, also has worked for Henry Ford Health System and Intermountain Healthcare, DMG said.
“Steve’s long and successful track record of creating world-class performance by building culture and focusing on mission and purpose aligns well with the mission of DMG,” Dr. Paul Merrick, chairman of DMG's physician organization, said in a statement.
DMG has over 750 doctors in more than 100 locations in suburban Chicago.
Former DMG CEO Mike Kasper died by suicide in May 2019. Merrick and Pacetti had been interim co-CEOs. Pacetti will return to his position as chief financial officer.
