Michael Gustafson, MD, MBA, has been appointed as the new CEO of the Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare. Dr. Gustafson is a leader with three decades of experience in healthcare strategy, operations, and leadership, who most recently served as president of UMass Memorial Medical Center (UMMMC), an 800-bed tertiary teaching hospital in central Massachusetts.
