Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare has named Micah Niermann, MD, as its new Vice President for Clinical Affairs and Medical Director.

Niermann is a physician leader with 10 years of collaboration across large, integrated health care systems. He has experience as a practicing hospitalist for children and adults including the management of medically complex patients and adult survivors of congenital disease.

Niermann is a leader in the Twin Cities medical community with a deep commitment to Gillette’s mission of caring for children who have complex medical conditions. He first encountered Gillette on rotation during his training as a resident at the University of Minnesota. As a member of Allina Health’s hospitalist group, he helped provide support to Gillette’s adult inpatient unit.
