Matt Kazan has been appointed Vice President of Policy and Government Affairs for SCAN Group, a diversified not-for-profit healthcare company that operates SCAN Health Plan, one of the nation's largest not-for-profit Medicare Advantage health plans.

Kazan brings years worth of experience and expertise in healthcare policy and Medicare to his new role. Prior to joining SCAN, Kazan served as Managing Director at Avalere and held a senior health advisory position for the United States Senate Committee on Finance, advising on major Medicare issues, including Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, drug reimbursement across Medicare, chronic disease, dual-eligible beneficiaries, post-acute care and Medicare and Medicaid program integrity.
