Dr. Amar Desai, previously president of HealthCare Partners, will now serve as president and chief executive officer of Optum California. In this role, he is responsible for all care delivery organizations in California including HealthCare Partners, Monarch HealthCare, North American Medical Management (NAMM) California, and AppleCare. Together, these groups represent one of the largest integrated care delivery networks in the country, comprised of both employed clinicians and affiliate providers – all dedicated to providing high-quality coordinated care, an outstanding patient experience, and lowering the total cost of care for the patients they serve across the diverse communities of Southern California.
