Health Management Associates (HMA) welcomes Douglas (Doug) L. Elwell, who most recently served as Illinois Medicaid director, to HMA as chief operating officer. This is Elwell’s second tenure with HMA; he previously served as a principal and managing principal. Elwell will be based in HMA’s Chicago office and will oversee consulting activities across the firm’s 23 offices.
