About the Program
The Health Care Hall of Fame, established in partnership with Modern Healthcare and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), has been one of the healthcare industry’s most prestigious honors. Since its inception, this award has been a testament to the extraordinary strides, outstanding and lasting contributions made by leaders in the healthcare sector.
Historically, each year, two or three healthcare luminaries were inducted, and since 1988, 118 visionaries have been honored. Their legacies are commemorated with plaques in the Health Care Hall of Fame at Pennsylvania Hospital, founded by Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Bond.
A Pause in the Journey
As of now, Modern Healthcare has decided to pause the Health Care Hall of Fame program. This means we will not be accepting nominations or inducting new members for the foreseeable future. This pause allows us to reflect on the program's immense impact and explore new ways to honor excellence in healthcare.
Celebrating Our Past Inductees
While we will not be moving forward with future inductions, the legacy of those who have been honored remains a vital part of our history. We encourage you to explore the stories and contributions of our past inductees, whose pioneering efforts have shaped the healthcare industry.
