Insurers, health tech companies and post-acute providers signed deals in the first full week of February.
Here's a look at the top healthcare deals this week.
PAM Health, Baptist Health Care partner on Florida rehab hospital
Post-acute provider PAM Health and Baptist Health Care will partner to create a 40-bed physical medicine and rehabilitation hospital on the Baptist Hospital campus in Pensacola, Florida. The hospital, PAM’s ninth in the state, will be located within an existing facility on the campus.
Enola, Pennsylvania-based PAM operates more than 100 facilities across 23 states and will lease and fully operate the new hospital. Pensacola-based Baptist Health includes three hospitals and four medical parks in Northwest Florida.

Teladoc Health to acquire Catapult Health
Teladoc Health plans to acquire home diagnostic company Catapult Health for $65 million to bolster its employer and health insurer businesses.
The virtual care company said it will add Catapult’s technology to support its existing products. Catapult Health’s clinicians will be able to directly enroll eligible members into Teladoc's programs and refer patients to the telehealth company's mental health and primary care providers.
Molina closes ConnectiCare acquisition
Molina Healthcare said it closed its purchase of ConnectiCare.
The deal adds 140,000 Medicare, exchange and commercial enrollees to Molina’s portfolio, Molina said in a news release. It also allows the insurer to expand into Connecticut.
Vanderbilt acquires Tennova Healthcare cardiology practice
Nashville, Tennessee-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center acquired the cardiology practice of Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville (Tennessee) from a subsidiary of Community Health Systems.
Vanderbilt said the addition of the two-physician practice is part of its ongoing efforts to expand access to cardiology services. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The Ensign Group expands its footprint
The Ensign Group completed the acquisition of five nursing home properties in Texas, the company announced.
The San Juan Capistrano, California-based company said in a news release it completed the acquisitions for undisclosed sums in two separate deals.
NeuroFlow adds Quartet Health
Behavioral health-focused software provider NeuroFlow acquired Quartet Health, a value-based behavioral healthcare enablement and delivery company.
In a statement, NeuroFlow said Quartet brings an extensive provider network and referral management capabilities that will broaden the company’s services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
