Tenet Healthcare has reached a tentative labor contract with 2,800 union workers in California after more than a year of negotiations.
The three-year proposal covering licensed vocational nurses, certified nursing assistants, emergency department technicians and other healthcare workers at seven hospitals includes a 14% raise for full- and part-time employees and ratification bonuses, SEIU-UHW said.

The tentative deal reached Friday also includes a 7% raise for per diem workers and contract ratification bonuses of $750 for full-time, $500 for part-time and $250 for per diem employees.
As part of the agreement, the for-profit system would form a committee to increase investment in its certification and education fund, according to the union. Dallas, Texas-based Tenet did not respond to requests for comment.
Union members will begin voting on the proposal Thursday.
SEIU-UHW began bargaining with the health system in April 2023, two months before the previous contract expired. In October, the union withdrew strike notices for thousands of union members working at 11 Tenet facilities across California after an arbitrator ruled that SEIU-UHW members could not strike until negotiators reached an impasse. Tenet sold four of the 11 facilities to UCI Health last month.
Tenet employs more than 100,000 workers across 52 hospitals and 640 medical facilities in 37 states.
The tentative agreement follows a series of organizing efforts, strikes and labor wins at multiple health systems last year.
