Insurance technology company Sidecar Health reached a deal with ProMedica to offer its members medical services at the health system, and is looking to extend its reach through other partnerships.
The agreement, the first of its kind between Sidecar and a provider, sets pricing for services for Sidecar members and is part of the company's long-term growth plan. Sidecar plans to pursue similar arrangements with other health systems and in other markets, the company said in a news release Thursday.

"Sidecar Health will continue to establish similar relationships across Ohio, Georgia and Florida," a spokesperson said in an email Thursday.
Sidecar users will have access to pricing for Toledo, Ohio-based ProMedica services to compare with other health systems and providers through the company's member portal.
Last month, Sidecar secured $165 million in a Series D funding round led by Koch Disruptive Technologies. The company's valuation has topped $1 billion since its launch in 2018, CEO and co-founder Patrick Quigley said in June.
