Mario Garner - ACHE Young Healthcare Executive of the Year

Mario Garner is the 2015 winner of the ACHE's Robert S. Hudgens Memorial Award for Young Healthcare Executive of the Year. He has been CEO of New Orleans East Hospital since 2013. Garner also was named one of Modern Healthcare's Up & Comers in 2014.

Garner joins New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu at a news conference in December at New Orleans East Hospital, announcing a workforce initiative grant from Wells Fargo to boost the city's ability to help steer unemployed and underemployed residents to careers in healthcare and advanced manufacturing.

Garner meets with visitors during the hospital's “Holiday Taste & Tour” event in December 2014, giving members of the community a chance to explore the new facilities.
