Modern Healthcare has selected Blue Cross Blue Shield Association President and CEO Kim Keck as the inaugural winner of its Women Leaders Vanguard Award.
Since joining BCBSA in 2021, Keck has focused on fostering diversity. The first woman to serve as president and CEO of the organization, she has in turn supported other women through programs such as Break into the Boardroom, designed to cultivate equal representation in governance throughout the healthcare industry.
Keck has been vocal about the need to use the association’s reach to narrow disparities in health outcomes, especially regarding maternal health. The organization under her leadership has also made care affordability a central goal.
Keck will discuss her career and the leadership path for women in healthcare during the 14th annual Women Leaders in Healthcare Conference and Awards Luncheon.
The conference will provide attendees at every stage in their careers the chance to learn from and network with women driving change in a variety of sectors.
