Monday is the last day to submit a nomination for the Healthcare Marketing Impact Awards, which recognize the industry's best advertising, marketing, promotion and communication campaigns.
We’re looking for ingenuity, creativity and results from campaigns that advance efforts to deliver high-quality, affordable and accessible healthcare and promote the health of individual patients, groups and communities. The awards are presented by Modern Healthcare and our sibling publication, Ad Age.

What kinds of healthcare organizations are eligible?
All healthcare organizations are eligible for the Healthcare Marketing Impact Awards, as long as they fall within the “client type” categories outlined below.
At this time we do not consider companies producing items that are not licensed for use as medications or medical devices.
What are the client types?
Providers are defined as hospitals, medical clinics, multi-hospital systems, academic medical centers, ambulatory surgery centers, specialty hospitals, physician groups, ambulance and emergency services organizations and post-acute care organizations — including rehab facilities, skilled nursing facilities and nursing homes — or any combination of the above.
Insurers are defined as insurance carriers, third-party payers, health plan sponsors, government plans and integrated delivery networks.
Suppliers and vendors are defined as organizations serving healthcare providers and payers. These can include, but are not limited to, group purchasing organizations or companies that provide information technology, real estate, financial, legal, investment, architecture, construction and design, consulting, recruitment and staffing services. They also include schools and universities.
Pharmaceutical companies are defined as organizations that develop, produce and market drugs, pharmaceuticals or medical devices licensed for use as medications.
Advocacy is defined as a government agency, professional association, patient advocacy group, charitable group or special interest group.
Modern Healthcare and Ad Age may elect to change nominees' self-selected client or campaign categories if a different category is considered more appropriate.
When should the submitted work have appeared?
All campaigns and materials considered for any category must have been produced and appeared between Jan. 1, 2023 and July 1, 2024 to be eligible. Results must be from that time period.
What materials do I need to enter?
You'll need background information on the campaign that includes the client; a description of the business challenge or problem addressed by the campaign; a summary of the media or communications plan and description of the creative executions; and a summary of the campaign’s results, including relevant metrics.
You'll also need to provide examples of the work, such as videos, audio files, images, case studies or a PDF.
Who judges the Healthcare Marketing Impact Awards?
The awards will be judged by the editorial teams of Modern Healthcare and Ad Age.
How much does a nomination cost?
The nomination fee is $450 per campaign entered. A nomination does not guarantee selection.
Can I mark information as “off the record?”
No. The organizations reserve the right when the winners are announced in November to publish any information included in nomination forms. Any information noted as “not for public” or “off the record” will not factor into the judges' evaluation.
When and how will winners be announced?
Winners will be notified in October and announced in November. We will not notify nominees who were not selected as winners.
