Modern Healthcare is accepting nominations for its Top Diversity Leaders awards, which recognize the top diverse healthcare executives and organizations influencing policy and care delivery models across the country.
Nominations are open for the 2023 awards. The deadline for nominations is Aug. 14.
What are the Top Diversity Leaders Awards?
The Top Diversity Leaders Awards recognize efforts to advance diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging at the organizational level, in the community and across the healthcare industry. The program includes categories honoring individual leaders with diverse backgrounds, as well as a category honoring organizations that make DEI an integral part of their missions.
Who is eligible?
Eligible individuals must be persons of color (Black/African American, Indigenous, Asian, Pacific Islander, Latino/Latina/Latinx or multiracial) and/or self-identify as LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning or other underrepresented sexual orientation or gender identity). They must also serve in a senior executive role in any sector of the healthcare industry. Eligible organizations include hospitals, health systems, insurers, suppliers and other organizations working in the healthcare field.
How much does each nomination cost?
The nomination fee for individuals and organizations is $150. You may nominate an organization and an individual from that organization, or multiple individuals from the same organization, but each must be a separate entry with its own nomination fee. Payment does not guarantee inclusion as an honoree.
What nomination materials are required?
Nominators must submit a summary of the nominee’s efforts to advance DEI, which can include building a more diverse C-suite/workforce, addressing health equity/social determinants of health, spearheading DEI programs, serving as a mentor, etc. A current CV/resume and headshot are required for individual nominees. Nominators are encouraged to submit up to five supporting documents such as letters of recommendation, articles and case studies that speak to the nominee’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
When is the nomination deadline?
Nominations for the 2023 Top Diversity Leaders Awards must be submitted by Aug. 14 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
When will the honorees be announced?
The list of honorees will be announced Oct. 14 on ModernHealthcare.com. Honorees will also be recognized in the Oct. 16, 2023, issue of Modern Healthcare magazine and at the Top Diversity Leaders Awards Gala Dec. 7 in Chicago.
