Marketing in healthcare isn’t just a matter of relying on word-of-mouth or Google search results. As the delivery of healthcare has become more complicated, so has the task of attracting would-be customers.
To compete in an increasingly challenging environment, today’s healthcare organizations have to get creative in their messaging and presentation — whether it’s through constructing custom apps, building new tools, spinning up elaborate public art or hiring local celebrities to give endorsements. Old-fashioned billboards with memorable slogans don’t hurt either.

This year’s Healthcare Marketing Impact Award winners blend innovation with tried-and-true classic strategies. The results show that would-be consumers — sometimes including other organizations — seek authenticity alongside the memorable packaging. Through the winning campaigns, which range in size, scope and budget from the “Tiny But Mighty” to multiplatform, monthslong integrated endeavors, this year’s honorees look to speak to their prospective customers’ individual needs.
The campaigns selected for our Healthcare Marketing Impact Awards demonstrate what it takes to stand out in a changing industry.
Who judges the Healthcare Marketing Impact Awards?
The judges included editors and reporters from Modern Healthcare and Ad Age, who pooled their expertise on the healthcare and marketing fields to select the best campaigns.
How did we pick the winners?
