Modern Healthcare’s 40 Under 40 awards highlight the accomplishments of notable individuals who are making a difference at their organizations and throughout the industry.
The honorees in this inaugural year of the program reflect the many sectors that make up healthcare and the growing importance of emerging talent in so many key areas—not just hospitals and insurance companies, but also digital startups, technology and retail giants, law firms and professional associations.
Meet the members of the 40 Under 40 class of 2024
Some of the honorees knew relatively early they wanted to pursue careers related to healthcare. Others took a more winding path, making their way to their current roles after witnessing family members struggle to access care or noticing the opportunities for growth the industry presented. Their stories offer lessons of perseverance, flexibility and innovation, while also showing the importance of staying grounded through hobbies and time with loved ones.
Amid ongoing uncertainty and much change in healthcare, the young leaders of the 40 Under 40 class of 2024 are seeking to drive lasting transformation.
How were honorees chosen?
Those selected for the 40 Under 40 awards program are young leaders who have taken specific steps to help their organizations achieve financial, clinical or operational goals. They have made a measurable impact on the industry as a whole, including by broadening access to patient care, pushing for changes in their sector or developing innovative technologies. Many have rapidly climbed the ranks at established companies—or started their own.
Who selects the 40 Under 40 honorees?
