In healthcare, Norwest has previously backed virtual therapy provider Talkspace, data warehousing and analytics company Health Catalyst, kidney disease management company Monogram Health and chronic disease-focused digital health company Omada Health.
This fund brings the firm’s managed capital total to $15.5 billion.
Lumeris secures $100M in new funding
Lumeris, a value-based care enablement company, said Monday it closed a $100 million equity funding round. Lumeris, founded in 2011, assists payers and providers on risk contracts with administrative support through its platform. The round brings the total amount raised by the company to $340 million. Midi Health backed by GV (Google Ventures), Memorial Hermann
Midi Health, a telehealth company focused on women between the ages of 35 and 65, secured a $60 million Series B funding round.
Emerson Collective, a philanthropy and investment firm, led the round. Other participants included GV (Google Ventures) and Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System.
Midi offers virtual menopausal and perimenopausal care to women by treating symptoms like anxiety and depression, joint pain and weight changes. Midi said in a release it will use the additional funding to expand its insurance coverage and hire additional clinicians.
It last raised $25 million in a Series A funding round led by Google Ventures in September 2023.
Summer Health raises $11.65M Series A
Digital care startup Summer Health raised $11.7 million in a Series A funding round to expand its text messaging platform for parents seeking medical advice for their kids, the company announced Tuesday. Read more.
Clarity Pediatrics secures $10M in seed funding
Clarity Pediatrics, a company focused on pediatric attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder care, secured a $10 million seed funding round.
Venture capital firm Rethink Impact led the round. Early stage focused venture capital firms Homebrew and Maverick Ventures participated.
Clarity Pediatrics offers virtual pediatric ADHD care in California. The company said in a release it will use the funding to expand the geographic footprint of its platform and offer new clinical products.
AI platform raises $2.5M in seed funding
Handl Health, an artificial intelligence platform company for benefits consultants, announced it secured a $2.5 million seed round.
Venture capital firms Mucker Capital and Everywhere VC led the round. A series of other venture capital firms also participated including Plug and Play Ventures, Techstars and Tau Ventures.
The company, which was founded in 2022, uses AI to mine, clean and organize healthcare pricing data and sells the technology to benefits consultants. Handl said in a release it plans to use the capital to invest in its product development.
