Ontogen Medtech, a Lisle-based medical device design and development firm, will move into an expanded facility to ramp up its production and R&D capabilities.
The company will move into the new space, also in Lisle, in September as it launches a new business unit dedicated to contract manufacturing services for the medical device, in-vitro diagnostic and health hard-tech industries, Ontogen said in a press release.

As part of the expansion, Ontogen has brought in Michael Corrigan to lead the new manufacturing division. The company said in the release the moves are part of a broader strategy to offer a full spectrum of services, from design work to scalable production, to clients in health tech.
The new facility will have more than 12,000 square feet of operational space, including a roughly 1,000-square-foot Class 7 clean room, the release said. The clean room is "a cornerstone of the facility, ensuring that all products meet the stringent requirements necessary for medical device manufacturing," the release said.
"Our strategic decision to expand into contract manufacturing and to bring on Mike Corrigan to lead this new division marks a significant milestone in our company's growth," Tyler Panian, principal and co-founder of Ontogen Medtech, said in the release. "Mike's extensive experience and leadership in medical device manufacturing will be invaluable as we strive to meet the increasing demand for developing and producing high-quality, innovative medical devices for our clients. This expansion allows us to offer our partners comprehensive solutions that span the entire product lifecycle, from concept to commercialization."
Corrigan has held a number of leadership roles in medical device manufacturing, the release said.
