Hippocratic AI is launching its next generation of artificial intelligence models as it aims to stand out in an increasingly competitive space.
The generative AI company said Wednesday it's planning to add multiple features focused on customer service to its suite of AI tools for health systems, payers and pharmaceutical companies. The models will triple-check patients' labs and medications as well as help route patients to a human when needed.

Hippocratic is also building healthcare-focused AI large language models to complete clinical tasks such as post-operative surgery check-ins and health risk assessments for patients. The newest features will launch for customers in April.
In the past few weeks, several health tech companies have launched AI agents, which help organizations complete time intensive functions more efficiently. Electronic health record company Epic as well as technology giants Salesforce and Microsoft have all announced AI agent products thus far in 2025.
Hippocratic refined its large language models after working with a greater number of patients, said Munjal Shah, CEO and co-founder.
During patient phone calls, voice-enabled AI agents can change the language used when speaking with a patient even if the patient’s preferred language is not documented in their health record. The tools will also be able to automatically leave voicemails call a user back if the session is disconnected and send follow-up text messages.
In January, Hippocratic raised $141 million in a Series B funding round led by venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins, estimating its valuation at $1.6 billion. The company has secured money from other notable investors including VC firm General Catalyst, technology company Nvidia and York, Pennsylvania-based WellSpan Health, but faces mounting competition.
