PatientFi nabs $25M
PatientFi, a healthcare payments financing company, closed a $25 million Series B extension.
Questa Capital, a healthcare venture growth equity firm, led the round.

PatientFi offers payment plans to patients for elective medical procedures. The company said in a release it would use the capital to launch new product initiatives and accelerate its sales and marketing efforts.
The round brings the company’s total funding amount raised to date to $70 million.
.406 Ventures raises $265M for new fund
Early-stage venture capital firm .406 Ventures said it raised $265 million in capital commitments for its fifth core fund.
In a news release, the firm said limited partners for the fifth fund include university endowments, foundations, pension plans and other strategic investors.
.406 Ventures has exited several notable healthcare companies, such as Medicare Advantage company Iora Health, which was acquired by Amazon's One Medical in 2021, and behavioral health company AbleTo, which netted a significant investment from Optum.
The firm said it would focus its investments on healthcare, data, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
Anatomy Financial launches with $7.6M
Anatomy Financial, a financial automation software startup, closed a $7.6 million seed round.
Venture capital firm Lightspeed led the round. Venture capital firms Meridian Street Capital, Live Oak Ventures, Cambrian Ventures and Peterson Ventures also participated.
The company has a product that links provider bank accounts and payer remittances through the electronic medical record for reconciliation. Anatomy also has a product that scans paper remittances into its software.
Anatomy said in a release it will market its software to medical, dental, digital health and healthcare billing companies.
Revenue cycle startup emerges from stealth with $3.1M
RapidClaims, a startup that sells a medical coding automation software, debuted publicly with a $3.1 million seed funding round.
Venture capital firm Together Fund led the round. Venture firms Better Capital, Neon Funding, Peercheque and DeVC were among the other investors participating in the round.
The company software includes autonomous coding, AI assistance tools for coders and auditing tools.
Berlin, Germany-based Earlybird Venture Capital closes $186M fund
Berlin-based venture capital firm Earlybird said it closed its second healthcare-focused fund Wednesday.
Earlybird is a Series A to Series C round investor for European healthcare companies. The company said it closed the fund at $186 million and will support digital health, diagnostics, medical devices and research-focused companies.
Earlybird's first healthcare fund launched with $78 million in 2016.
