Covera Health secures $25M in additional Series C funding
Covera Health, a digital radiology company, announced it had secured $25 million in additional Series C funding. It also announced it had finalized the acquisition of CoRead, an artificial intelligence-powered quality assurance company.
Covera said the deals will allow it to grow its marketplace between payers and providers. The company offers data to employers and health insurance companies for network and care management program decisions.
Venture capital firm Insight Partners led the round, which could total $50 million once complete, according to Covera.
Former Paige.AI CEO launches new digital health company
Jona, a digital health company focused on the gut microbiome, launched with $5 million in funding led by Breyer Capital and Meridian Street Capital.
The startup was founded by Leo Grady, the former CEO of healthcare AI company Paige.AI. It offers direct-to-consumer microbiome profiling kits, which are analyzed using the company’s large language model with the goal of delivering actionable insights on food, diet and lifestyle modifications.
Jona enters a growing space. Viome Life Sciences, a diagnostics startup, announced in August it had secured an $86.5 million Series C funding round.
