Ambient AI documentation tools, which turn recordings of doctor-patient conversations into usable clinical notes, are garnering increased interest from health systems.
As a subsidiary of Commure, Augmedix has stopped trading and will be delisted from the Nasdaq Stock Market, less than three years after going public.
Commure, which provides AI and other digital health tools on its platform to health systems, plans to add Augmedix’s documentation tool to its slate of customer offerings, Augmedix CEO Manny Krakaris said when the deal was announced in July.
Commure has received approximately $620 million in funding from venture firm General Catalyst and other investors, according to venture capital database firm Crunchbase. In October 2023, it acquired digital health company Athelas to form a $6 billion organization.
