A hospital group in Maine intends to spend more than $60 million replacing a pair of hospitals and expanding another.
Northern Light Health has filed documents with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services about the work, the Bangor Daily News reported. The group plans to add 50 rooms to Acadia Hospital in Bangor. Acadia is a private psychiatric hospital.
The group also plans to replace existing hospitals in Greenville and Blue Hill with all new buildings, the Bangor Daily News reported. Those are 25-bed hospitals that serve rural parts of the state.
Northern Light's board of directors is expected to vote on the work in March 2022.
