Tim Wentworth
CEO, Walgreens Boots Alliance
Wentworth, who joined Walgreens last year, has been seeking to cut costs, stabilize pharmacy operations and improve the company’s retail strategy amid a challenging operating environment. His push for a turnaround has included revamping Walgreens’ leadership team, appointing Mary Langowski as executive vice president and president of U.S. healthcare in February, Lanesha Minnix as global chief legal officer in April and Jason Stenta as inaugural chief commercial officer in October. Before being tapped to head Walgreens, Wentworth founded and led Evernorth, Cigna’s health services unit. He was also CEO of pharmacy benefit manager Express Scripts for five years — including when it was acquired by Cigna in 2018 — and served as president and CEO of Medco’s specialty pharmacy Accredo. He is a director on the Walgreens Boots Alliance board and has served on the boards of Forge Health and Ushur.
