Tampa General Hospital is a 1,040-bed academic medical health system that serves a dozen counties across a population of 4 million.

Leaders have:

• Collaborated with the University of Southern Florida and the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council to centralize a 1,500-acre medical innovation hub that includes Tampa General Hospital’s analytics hub, rehabilitation hospital, cancer institute and venture arm as well as the USF Morsani College of Medicine.
• Invested in the creation of a proton therapy center, behavioral health hospital and surgical, neuroscience and transplant pavilion, which will all be completed within the next three years.
• Partnered with GE HealthCare to advance the use of artificial intelligence and predictive analytics to improve care coordination, quality of care, patient safety, health outcomes and patient experience.
