Sun co-founded Carrot Fertility in 2016 with an eye toward making it easier for patients to access culturally competent fertility care. Under Sun’s leadership, the benefits platform now offers resources, support and education for pregnancy and postpartum care — including coverage for qualified doulas — along with benefits related to egg and sperm freezing, embryo transfer, in-vitro fertilization, gestational surrogacy, menopause and low testosterone to millions of members through more than 1,000 clients. Carrot reports that its clients experience lower rates of miscarriage, preterm births and NICU visits than the national averages. Before starting Carrot, Sun served as director of partnerships at Evernote and as communications director for the Federal Communications Commission.
