SCAN Group includes SCAN Health plans — which cover more than 277,000 Medicare Advantage members in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas — along with medical groups and a community service department aimed at serving seniors.

Under board and executive leadership, SCAN Group:

• Increased its membership in employee resource groups by 35% last year.
• Launched a Medicare Advantage plan in 2023 specifically designed for LGBTQ+ people.
• Provided services to more than 5,000 people through its street-based medical group Healthcare in Action, helping place more than 250 in supportive housing. 
• Associated senior leaders’ bonuses with members’ healthcare disparity reduction rates.
