In addition to serving as CEO at Rush University System for Health since 2022, Lateef has led the Rush University Medical Center since 2019. He has helped the Chicago-based organization maintain its long-standing commitment to health equity. All four Rush hospitals have repeatedly received high marks for quality and patient experience from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. He has fostered a culture of inclusivity by serving patients from and investing in companies located in historically disenfranchised communities. For example, Rush recently partnered with a linen service located in a predominately Black, low-income community near Rush University Medical Center.
