Wilt joined the 22-hospital, Sacramento, California-headquartered Sutter Health in 2023 to oversee development of a unified digital strategy for the health system, including improving the electronic health record experience for physicians and other caregivers. She shepherded the launch of Sutter’s “digital front door,” which includes self-service tools for appointment management, thereby reducing no-shows and late cancellations. In the first two months of operation, patients confirmed more than 600,000 appointments via text. Under Wilt’s leadership, Sutter is exploring the use of artificial intelligence to analyze the content of patient messages and draft responses for physicians to review and send, thereby reducing physicians’ inbox burden. She is also on the leadership team for Sutter’s new Innovation Center.
