Jennifer Mensik Kennedy

Mensik Kennedy started a two-year term in January 2023 as president of the organization, which under her leadership has advocated for federal staffing laws and policies allowing nurses to practice at the top of their licenses. It is also working to reduce documentation burdens, implement virtual nursing standards and address gun violence. Mensik Kennedy has been vocal about nurses’ roles in addressing health equity and in collaborating with developers and researchers to effectively use artificial intelligence. She was formerly system director of clinical practice at Banner Health in Arizona.
