Taneja leads General Catalyst, a venture capital firm that has partnered with prominent healthcare organizations — including Intermountain Health, Banner Health, Hackensack Meridian Health and HCA Healthcare — to scale up digital technology in the sector. In late 2023, under the GC umbrella, Taneja also became founder and executive chair of Health Assurance Transformation Company, or HATco, an advisory firm to help health systems adopt digital platforms and embrace value-based care. This year, HATco signed a definitive agreement to acquire Akron, Ohio-based Summa Health with plans to upgrade the system’s infrastructure and technology. In October, GC announced it will invest over $1 billion in healthcare-focused companies — with about three-quarters of the funds to target early-stage organizations. Taneja serves on the boards of Ro, Tendo, Redesign Health, Hippocratic AI and others.
